Jonathan Hood is an attorney in our litigation department and focuses on appellate law, government law, and tort claims defense.
Jonathan graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Oregon School of Law. There, he served as a legal intern in the school’s Civil Practice Clinic, as a teaching assistant in the school’s Legal Research and Writing program, and as a managing editor for the Oregon Law Review. He spent his first summer of law school as an extern for Justice Virginia L. Linder at the Oregon Supreme Court, and he clerked for a Eugene-area law firm the following summer.
Jonathan’s diverse background allows him to understand, and find creative solutions to, the difficult situations faced by his clients. His pre-law school experience includes teaching at-risk youth at a Chicago therapeutic day school, producing and coordinating special events for a Chicago entertainment company, and providing technical customer service support for a software company. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys volunteering at the University of Oregon School of Law, supporting the local roller derby leagues, and exploring Oregon’s beautiful outdoors.
