Harrang Long Gary Rudnick P.C. (HLGR) is pleased to announce that Amber Zupancic-Albin has joined the firm as an associate attorney in our Portland office.
Amber joined HLGR on May 5, 2014 and will work closely with the firm’s attorneys in the Health Care Industry Law practice group, as well as in the Professional Liability Defense and Litigation group. Amber, a former medical legal consultant, holds her Registered Nursing degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. Her unique background having served as an R.N. for several years before returning to law school, has provided her with a deep knowledge of the health care industry and practice. For several years, she owned her own medical legal consulting firm, AZA Consulting, LLC where she spent considerable time providing litigation support and claims management services to large healthcare institutions and law firms.
As a graduate of California Western School of Law in San Diego, California, Amber served as a law clerk for another Portland area law firm, as well as for the Office of the Attorney General, Department of Justice, State of California’s Bureau of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse. While at the Department of Justice, she assisted in case preparation to the Grand Jury regarding Medi-Cal billing fraud for IUDs, resulting in an indictment.
